It's been a very wet weekend and we were lucky not to have had the strong winds which most of the southern half of the country had. It's forecast to become dryer and slightly warmer as the week goes on. We have had a busy morning so far and have been using the polytracks on Racecourse Side, plus new ground turf. It looks as though we shall be having a runner or two mid to end of the week.

It's the start of the December Sales fortnight today. The yearlings sell today and then the foals follow from Wednesday till the end of the week. The mares and fillies sell the following week. We shall have everybody from throughout the world who is interested in the breeding industry in town for these sales. It's a completely different crowd than come to the main yearling and horses in training sales, and the talk will be all about new stallions and what this year's foals look like. If last week's Goffs sale is anything to go by the foal buyers will be very selective and the mares could go barmy. It'll be interesting watching.

Our intake of yearlings look a very good bunch and there will be several for sale both singly and in shares. So if you are looking for a proper Christmas present please give me a ring to discuss options. Pictures and more information will be going up shortly.
