It's been a very windy night and there are not many leaves left on the trees now. One more good frost will see the end of them. There has been a bit more rain as well but at present there is blue sky and even some sunshine. I took first lot to the Cambridge Road to do some fast work and all went well.  The horses seem in great form at present and let's hope it continues like this.

I have been busy breaking the yearlings this morning, and have had one ridden for the first time in it's box today. Each day they continue to learn something new and they are really starting to settle into the routine.

Yesterday the yearling sale went as well as could be expected with some big prices for the horses that couldn't go to Book 1 or 2 for some reason or another. It's the foals starting tomorrow and the sales paddocks are full of people viewing. As I said yesterday this is such an international sale and the horses will be transported far and wide once passing their quarantine.

There was a novel way of finding a jockey yesterday when Jamie Osborne put it out on Twitter that he required a jockey who hadn't ridden ten winners for a race at Kempton tomorrow. There were plenty of replies from budding, keen pilots and then there was a vote to see who got the ride. Our apprentice, Georgia Dobie, was the lucky one and I am sure she will give the horse a good ride and I hope Jamie and the owners are impressed.
