Sunshine and showers today

It’s a mixed day weather wise with sunshine and showers. There is also a cool breeze. We are using the polytracks close to home this morning and with plenty of people in we are getting on well with all the horses. We have been doing two canters with the first three lots and the remainder have been going up Hamilton Hill just the once.

Four Fifty Three was never in the right position at any stage yesterday and couldn’t get involved. I think the track was a big surprise to him, but he will have learnt something. He seems to have come out of the race well this morning.

I can’t quite agree with the ITV sports director who thinks he will attract a bigger audience if they cut the jargon. I don’t know what kind of sports director he is, or what sport he follows, but every sport has its own jargon, whether it is football, cricket, darts or croquet and that is what attracts people to the game. People like intrigue and the feeling of being in the know. If the TV Company’s want to dumb down everything I feel it is the wrong way to go.
