It’s a very windy morning with gales forecast now all week and bands of heavy rain accompanying it. Just one non-starter in the yard but everybody else is getting on well. We have had plenty of horses out already and have been trying to avoid wide open spaces as much as possible. These are the days that people working in warm offices don’t get to see and when the lads earn every bit of my respect.

At Cheltenham the weather is causing some concern as there will be a lot of temporary structures i.e. tents, which in past years have blown away in similar conditions. It will also make it quite tricky for horses and jockeys if the wind gets up even more. I am sure the ground will now be on the easy side and the Irish horses, once again, will come to the fore. Richard and I start our weekly battle today and we have decided to have a NAP every day in the last race. Let’s hope we can point you in the right direction. Our tips are below

MHT

1.30  Klassical Dream    2.10  Duc des Genievres    2.50  Calipto    3.30  Apple’s Jade    4.10  Benie des Dieux    4.50  Solomn Grundy    5.30  Ballyward

Richard

1.30  Fakir d’Oudair    2.10  Glen Forsa    2.50  Noble Endeavor    3.30  Buveur d’Air    4.10  Benie des Dieux    4.50  Good Man Pat    5.30  Ballyward
